Brenna Kelley-Clarke, gene therapy consultant

Meet Brenna

I’m Brenna Kelley-Clarke, Ph.D., a virologist with 15+ years of experience in viral vector development and gene therapy analytics. I earned my doctorate at Harvard and went on to lead teams in industry, most recently as Senior Director at Bristol Myers Squibb (BMS).

At BMS, I served as Head of Vector Attribute Sciences, overseeing teams working on viral vector analytics, formulations, and process development. My work included advancing AAV and lentiviral vector programs, scaling non-viral gene delivery approaches, and guiding cross-functional teams through complex technical challenges.

I started Brenna Consulting to give gene and cell therapy teams direct access to deep viral vector expertise - without the overhead of large in-house CMC or analytics functions. My goal is to pair sharp strategy with hands-on technical insight, helping programs design robust analytical roadmaps, streamline development, and move confidently from early R&D through IND and beyond.
